Te Kura accepts short term enrolments for students who want to use the summer break to earn additional credits or specific internal standards in NCEA. This may be to get into a tertiary course, training, or employment the following year.
A range of internal standards are offered at NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3. The subjects and standards offered are published just before Summer School enrolments open in December.
Our Summer School courses are delivered online so, provided you have access to a computer and the internet, you can study anywhere and anytime.
Te Kura’s qualified teachers will be available online to answer any questions and assess your work. If you need help with your online learning, you can contact our Student and Whānau Support during working hours for assistance.
I thought it would be hard work changing from an average high school scenario into a home school scenario. To my surprise, it was pretty much the same, apart from being in the comfort of my own home. The teachers were so supportive and dedicated to helping me reach my goals…But the most important thing they taught me is to make realistic goals for yourself. Summer School at Te Kura was by far the best decision I ever made.
